ACCOMMODATION

Maritime University students are offered accommodation in our dormitories/ residence halls  (PL: akademiki) which are located 300 meters from the main building of the University. KORAB and PASSAT are two, ten-storied buildings which can accommodate nearly 1000 students. The dorms offer double and triple rooms which, grouped into two or four, share one self-contained bathroom. Each room is equipped with standard furniture (bunk and single beds, cupboards, wardrobes, desks, chairs) as well as with basic equipment like duvets, pillows and sheets.
Dorm residents have at their disposal:

  • a fully equipped kitchen on each floor (please note that students are required to have their own dishes and cooking utensils)
  • a laundry room
  • a TV room
  • a study room
  • deposit service
  • leisure room for table tennis, aerobics or dance
  • billiards room
  • a small convenience store
The dormitories are situated in the vicinity of beautiful Żeromski Park, not far from Plac Rodła, the city’s major transport junction with numerous bus and tramway stops. Moreover, the campus is just 5 minutes away from the city centre with shopping centres (Galaxy and Kaskada), cinemas, theatres, restaurants as well as the historic old town.

The total monthly rent in student dormitory amounts to PLN 350 (around EUR 90). Dorms are open during the whole academic year except summer holidays.

Our  Dorms offer affordable accommodation also to guests from outside the University (candidates during the admissions period PLN 35 /night, students’ family members PLN  31-44/night, others PLN 58-74 /night).

Private accommodation

In Szczecin, like in any other academic centre, students are offered rooms or flats for rent. Choosing a suitable offer, it is important to remember about drawing up a tenancy agreement with the landlord. Without this document, it will not be possible to register for temporary residence in Szczecin, which is obligatory for foreigners. Also, such an agreement is a guarantee for the tenant assuring legality, security and confidence that you will not lose a place to live overnight.

For students from Ukraine, there is also a possibility of accommodation in the building of the Association of Ukrainians in Poland, which offers five rooms at attractive prices. More information is available <here>
